PROVIDENCE, R.I. --- UConn men's golf junior co-captain Jimmy Hervol (Hopkinton, Mass.) has been named to the American Athletic Conference All-Conference Team for the second consecutive year, as the AAC announced league honors today. He was one of 15 golfers in the 10-team league honored by a vote of the league coaches.
Hervol set a UConn record for low scoring this season, averaging 71.6 in 12 events and 35 rounds. He had five Top 10 and eight Top 20 finishes, including a Top 10 finish in the American Athletic Conference Championship two weeks ago. He won individual medalist honors at the FAU Spring Championship in Boca Raton, Fla., and was the low scorer for the Huskies in six events this year.
Hervol, who was named the AAC Golfer of the Week on April 4, shot 19 rounds of par or better this season, with nine sub-70 rounds, including a low round of 64.
Hervol is a two-time member of the American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team and is likely to be named for a third time this season. Last year, he also was selected to the 2017 Division I PING All-Northeast Region Team and the 2017 New England Coaches All-New England Team.
