STORRS, Conn. – The UConn women's soccer team returns home to play Eastern Michigan at Joseph J. Morrone Stadium on Friday, Sept. 14 at 7 p.m.
It is the final non-conference game for the Huskies before embarking on their eight-game American Athletic Conference slate. UConn is 2-6 on the season and are coming off a 1-1 weekend against a pair of quality SEC programs, Ole Miss and Arkansas.
UConn knocked off the Rebels last Friday, 4-3, with the help of junior Erin Spillane and her first career multi-goal effort. The two goals helped earn Spillane a spot on this week's American Athletic Conference weekly honor roll.
Spillane is tied with sophomore Sophia Danyko-Kulchycky for the most goals on the team with three.
UConn and Eastern Michigan will meet for the first time in program history on Friday night. The Eagles own a 4-3 record on the season with Kristin Nason and Sabrina McNeil tied for the team lead with two goals apiece.
Friday Night will be Goal Patrol Night at Morrone Stadium. All goal patrol members will have their final opportunity to pick up their free t-shirt from purchasing season tickets.
The Huskies begin American Athletic Conference play on the road with a trip to Texas against Houston and SMU.
