No. 3 UConn, SMU Set for Midweek Matchup

STORRS, Conn. – The third-ranked UConn women's basketball team (16-1, 5-0 American) hosts SMU (7-11, 1-4) Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Gampel Pavilion. The game will be aired on SNY/ESPN3 and the UConn/IMG Radio Network.
The Huskies are coming off an 88-67 win over Temple Saturday. Junior Crystal Dangerfield scored a career-high 26 points while senior Napheesa Collier had her 10th double-double with 30 points and 12 rebounds.
Collier sits just 19 rebounds away from 1,000 in her career. She's also 82 points away from 2,000.
UConn is 91-0 in American Athletic Conference play since joining the league. The Huskies have won the conference's first five regular season and tournament titles. Including postseason play, UConn is 106-0 against American teams.
SMU was last in action Saturday, when the Mustangs fell to UCF, 55-43. This season, Alicia Froling leads SMU with 12.0 points and 10.5 rebounds per game.
The Huskies are 9-0 all-time vs. SMU with all meetings coming as conference opponents.
