FH Announces two signings to Class of 2024

STORRS, Conn. – Head coach Nancy Stevens and the UConn field hockey team announced two additions to the 2020 roster next season. The Huskies welcome Morgan Kaufmann and Aiyi Young to the class of 2024.
Kaufmann arrives to UConn from Wilson West Lawn High School in West Lawn, Pa as a MAX Field Hockey Top 100 performer. During her time at Wilson West Lawn, Kaufmann is a proven winner, helping lead the team to a 79-14 record while notching 33 goals and 24 assists. She earned Pennsylvania First Team All-State honors twice (2017 & 2018) and was a three-time All-Berks County First Team recipient. Kaufman won five NIT Championships and two-time National Club Championship runner-up with her club team, X-Calibur.
Young joins the UConn family from Upper Perkiomen High School in Palm, Pa. Young is a two-time Pennsylvania First Team All-State performer while earning PAC 10 All-Conference honors all four years. Young helped lead Upper Perkiomen to its first PAC-10 championship since 2013 during her senior season. She finished her career totaling 57 goals and 52 assists.
Stevens and her staff of Paul Caddy and Cheri Schulz are revered as some of the top recruiters in the country. Since Stevens arrived in Storrs in 1990, the Huskies have featured 32 NFHCA First Team All-American. Steven, the all-time winningest coach in Division I with 700 career wins, has been named the NFHCA National Coach of the Year three times and has led UConn to three NCAA Championships.
