Huskies Set for NCAA Tournament Appearance vs. Wake Forest

STORRS, Conn. - Â The UConn women's field hockey team is set for the NCAA Tournament as they face off against Wake Forest Friday nov.14 at 2:30pm. The game will be held at host Harvard University.
The Huskies have made back-to-back appearances in the NCAA Tournament after finishing 11-8 overall and 6-1 in conference action. UConn finished runner up in the BIG EAST Tournament after falling to Liberty in overtime by a final of 2-1.
UConn is led by seniors Sol Simone who was named BIG EAST Co-Midfielder of the year and named to the All-Big East first team and Julia Bressler who was leads the team with seven goals and was named All-Big East Second Team. This will be the first matchup between the Huskies and Demon Deacons.
Wake Forest enters the matchup posting a 15-4 record and a 7-1 record in ACC action. Wake Forest is led by Mia Schoenbeck and Lauren Storey who have combined for 37 total goals.
The winner of the matchup will advance and wait for the winner of Harvard vs. New Hampshire on Sunday at 1pm. All games can be streamed on ESPN+.
