No. 4 UConn to Host Notre Dame in Women's Jimmy V Classic

STORRS, Conn. – The No. 4 UConn women's basketball team (7-0) returns to Gampel Pavilion to host Notre Dame (5-5) Sunday at 4 p.m. in the Women's Jimmy V Classic. The game will be aired on ESPN and the UConn IMG Sports Network on 97-9 ESPN.
Sunday's sold-out game is a STRIPE OUT. To find your section's color, click HERE. The game will also be UConn's Toys for Tots collection. Fans are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate.
UConn tallied a 92-78 win over former and future BIG EAST foe Seton Hall last Thursday. Freshman Aubrey Griffin broke out off the bench with 25 points and 12 rebounds. Both of Griffin's parent attended Seton Hall with her father playing basketball and her mother running track for the Pirates.
In addition to Griffin's career game, senior Molly Bent set a personal best in points (10) while freshman Anna Makurat did the same in rebounds (10). UConn trailed Seton Hall 28-19 at the end of the first quarter.
UConn is 37-13 all-time vs. Notre Dame. UConn is 7-0 all-time vs. Notre Dame in the month of December. This is the first time since Jan. 27, 2007 that UConn has faced an unranked Notre Dame team.
Since the 1993-94 season, the Huskies have posted a 286-24 (.922) record in non-conference play. UConn will have a tough run in non-conference play this season as they face preseason No. 1 Oregon, No. 2 Baylor, No. 8 South Carolina, No. 16 Notre Dame and No. 18 DePaul.
