No. 5 UConn Hosts No. 12 South Carolina in Nonconference Finale

STORRS, Conn. – The fifth-ranked UConn women's basketball team (20-2, 10-0 American) faces No. 12 South Carolina (17-5, 9-1 SEC) in the Huskies' final nonconference game of the season. The game will be broadcast on ESPN2 and the UConn Sports Network.
Monday is UConn's annual White Out, and fans are encouraged to wear WHITE.
The Huskies are coming off their second straight 100-point game in a 109-74 win over Temple Saturday. Senior Napheesa Collier led UConn with 30 points and 14 rebounds while junior Crystal Dangerfield notched 22 points and nine assists.
UConn held its annual Pink Game vs. Temple, but the team's auction benefitting the Kay Yow Foundation is still open at www.uconnhuskies.com/PinkAuction.
UConn is 7-0 all-time vs. South Carolina. This is the first meeting for the Huskies and Gamecocks in Hartford.
South Carolina has won its last five games, most recently a 76-42 win over Ole Miss on Thursday. Te'a Cooper leads the Gamecocks with 12.7 points per game while Alexis Jennings (10.5) and Tyasha Harris (10.3) are also in double figures. Jennings leads the team with 6.0 rebounds per game.
