Olson earns conference recognition

STORRS, Conn—Sophomore pitcher Marybeth Olson earned a spot on the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll for her performance against Bryant during the weekend.

UConn emerged 3-1 after their games against Bryant, Michigan State, and Florida International. In the Huskies' rematch against the Bulldogs, Olson got the nod to start in the circle and did not disappoint. She went the length only giving up three hits and delivered 11 strikeouts. UConn would go on to win the game 3-0.

The Huskies will be traveling to South Carolina this week to compete in a three-day tournament against Boston University, Virginia Tech, Bowling Green, and host USC Upstate.
