No. 3 Huskies, Memphis Ready for Game in Hartford

STORRS, Conn. – The third-ranked UConn women's basketball team (23-2, 11-0 American) plays its final game of the season at the XL Center Wednesday as the Huskies host Memphis (10-15, 5-7) Wednesday at 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast on SNY/ESPN3 and the UConn Sports Network from Learfield IMG College.
Senior Napheesa Collier led UConn with 18 points and 11 rebounds as the Huskies beat UCF 78-41 Sunday. All five starters scored in double digits vs. the Knights, including Megan Walker (13), Katie Lou Samuelson (12), Crystal Dangerfield (12) and Christyn Williams (12). Dangerfield led the Huskies with seven assists. Freshman Olivia Nelson-Ododa played 21 minutes off the bench and scored nine points while adding three blocks.
UConn owns a 97-0 record in American games. Including the postseason, UConn is 112-0 in American games.
The Huskies are 9-0 all-time vs. Memphis with all meetings coming in conference play.
The Tigers are coming off a 65-59 win over Tulane last Saturday. Jamirah Shutes leads Memphis with 13.9 points per game while Alana Davis is averaging 12.5 points and a team-high 8.3 rebounds per game.
