No. 2 UConn to Face Wichita State Tuesday

STORRS, Conn. - The second-ranked UConn women's basketball team (25-2, 13-0 American) travels to Wichita State (11-15, 4-9) for the first time in program history Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast on SNY/ESPN3 and the UConn Sports Network.
Sophomore Megan Walker (21 pts, 10 rebs) and senior Napheesa Collier (12 pts, 15 rebs) each had double-doubles in UConn's 68-49 win at Tulsa Sunday. All five starters scored in double digits vs. the Hurricane. The Huskies were without head coach Geno Auriemma, who missed the game due to an illness.
The Huskies clinched at least a share of the regular season conference championship with the win over Tulsa. UConn also clinched the No. 1 seed in the American Athletic Conference Tournament.
UConn owns a 98-0 record in American games. Including the postseason, UConn is 113-0 in American games.
The Huskies' final regular season home game is next Saturday, March 2 in Gampel Pavilion. The team will honor seniors Napheesa Collier and Katie Lou Samuelson pregame and Rebecca Lobo's number will be retired at halftime. UConn is 1-0 all-time vs. Wichita State with the only previous meeting coming last season. Carla Bremaud leads the Shockers with 9.7 points per game while Sabrina Lozada-Cabbage leads the team with 5.8 rebounds per game.
