Football Hosts Fans at the Rent on Signing Day

EAST HARTFORD, Conn. - The UConn football coaching staff hosted its annual fan appreciation event at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field on Wednesday evening, in conjunction with National Signing Day. The event, which was billed as "National Signing Day with Randy Edsall", was attended by a capacity crowd of nearly 650 of the team's best fans.

The festivities began with a social hour that included complimentary food and beverages and a chance for fans to chat with Coach Edsall and his staff. Edsall then kicked off the formal program with opening remarks and introduced a few new faces on his staff.

Each of the 10 assistant coaches then spoke about two of the 20 members of the incoming class and took the crowd through a highlight package of each player.

Coach Edsall will hold an 11 a.m. press conference on Thursday, February 7 to talk about this year's newcomers. All 20 signees are listed below. Additionally, the American Athletic Conference is scheduled to release the 2019 football schedule on Thursday at 11 a.m.
