UConn Basketball Scores Big on SNY

Seven Year Partnership Continues to Deliver Unprecedented Content and Strong Ratings
NEW YORK - For seven seasons, UConn Basketball has scored on SNY, television home of the Huskies. For the 2018-2019 season, SNY televised more than 300 hours of exclusive UConn basketball programming including 15 women's games and seven men's games - bringing the Huskies into more than 11 million households across the country.

UConn Women's Basketball team's on-court success has been matched only by its outstanding performance with viewers on SNY. For the 2018-2019 season, UConn Women's basketball on SNY pulled a 6.00 average HH rating (approx. 55,300 households) in the Hartford-New Haven DMA. This viewership figure topped other sports programming in the region, including Red Sox baseball, NFL Thursday Night Football, NBA Basketball and Bruins hockey.
In fact, the last two seasons (2017-18 and 2018-19) have delivered two of the three highest season ratings since the inaugural season in 2012-13. SNY's pre-game show also saw gains with the second highest average rating ever on SNY and was the highest since the 2012-13 season.
UConn Women's basketball has also shown measurable and impressive delivery in the New York market. SNY's regular season finale on March 2, which featured live coverage of the pre-game senior ceremony and Rebecca Lobo's number retirement at halftime, garner and additional 19,000 total viewers in the nation's No. 1 media market. This outperformed 14 live college basketball games on other networks in New York that day. Amid the team's history-making 111-game win streak during the 2016-17 season, the average total viewers in the New York market was more than 33,000.
UConn Men's basketball on SNY averaged a 2.61 HH rating in the Hartford-New Haven DMA – with the last two seasons of Men's basketball on SNY averaging an +11% ratings increase.
In addition to the live games, SNY's The Geno Auriemma Show Presented by UConn Health had its highest rated season ever with a +52% increase in viewership over last year and +49% increase over the previous five-year average.
SNY's annual UConn Women's Tournament Preview special will air on Thursday, March 21 at 6:30 PM.
UConn hoops season coverage will conclude on SNY on Monday, April 8 with the UConn Women's Season-in-Review Show at 6:30 PM and the Men's Season-in-Review show following at 7:00 PM.
