Rich Named UConn Nursing School Valedictorian

STORRS, Conn. – UConn field hockey senior Ashley Rich was named one of three valedictorians for the UConn School of Nursing.
Rich holds a 3.99 grade point average and will carry the nursing school's banner at the Commencement Ceremony on May 11.
As a junior in 2017, Rich won the NCAA's Elite 90 Award as the student-athlete at the Final Four site with the highest GPA. She earned NFHCA National Academic Squad recognition all four of her seasons.
As a member of the UConn field hockey team, Rich won the 2017 NCAA Championship. She was also a part of eight total BIG EAST championships, four in the regular season and four in the tournament. The Huskies advanced to the NCAA Final Four in three of her seasons in Storrs.
