UConn to Face UCLA in NCAA Sweet Sixteen

STORRS, Conn. – The second-seeded UConn women's basketball team (33-2) takes on No. 6-seed UCLA (22-12) in the NCAA Sweet Sixteen Friday at the Times Union Center in Albany, N.Y. at 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPN and the UConn Sports Network from Learfield IMG College.
The Huskies advanced to their 26th straight Sweet Sixteen with an 84-72 win over Buffalo last Sunday. Senior Napheesa Collier led UConn with 27 points, 16 rebounds and eight assists vs. the Bulls.
The Huskies are 24-2 all-time in the Sweet Sixteen. UConn has won 13 straight Sweet Sixteen games.
UConn is 5-0 all-time vs. UCLA. The teams met in the Sweet Sixteen in 2017.
The Bruins upset third-seeded Maryland in the Second Round, 85-80. Michaela Onyenwere leads the Bruins with 18.6 points per game while Kennedy Burke has 15.4 points per game.
