Rich Honored by Provost’s Office for Academic Achievement

STORRS, Conn. – UConn field hockey senior Ashley Rich was honored at the Outstanding Senior Women Academic Achievement Award Ceremony Saturday ahead of graduation.
The ceremony, which is put on by the Women's Center, the Provost's Office and the Alumni Association, recognizes women undergraduate and graduate students who have excelled academically within each school/college and demonstrated high achievement in research and service to the University community.
Rich was selected as an NFHCA Scholar of Distinction and was named one of three valedictorians for the UConn School of Nursing. She graduated this weekend with a 3.99 grade point average.
As a junior in 2017, Rich won the NCAA's Elite 90 Award as the student-athlete at the Final Four site with the highest GPA. She earned NFHCA National Academic Squad recognition all four of her seasons.
As a member of the UConn field hockey team, Rich won the 2017 NCAA Championship. She was also a part of eight total BIG EAST championships, four in the regular season and four in the tournament. The Huskies advanced to the NCAA Final Four in three of her seasons in Storrs.
