Dickinson Wins Gold at Young Women’s National Championship

LANCASTER, Pa. – UConn field hockey sophomore Lindsay Dickinson helped lead the U.S. U-19 team to the 2019 Young Women's National Championship Tuesday.
Dickinson served as team captain of the squad. The U.S. U-19 team went 2-0-1 in pool play and beat the Spirit 4-2 in the championship game.
Five current and two former members of the UConn field hockey team participated in the Young Women's National Championship. Current UConn student-athletes Natalie Burns (Freedom), Liz Romano (Dream), Jessica Dembrowski (Pride) and Kourtney Kennedy (Freedom) were joined by alums Karlie Heistand (Freedom) and Nina Klein (Patriots).
Burns and Dembrowski scored one goal each in the tournament while Romano notched two goals.
