WSOC Wins In OT at UMass Lowell

LOWELL, Mass. - Kess Elmore's goal in the 92nd minute led the Huskies to a 2-1 victory at UMass Lowell on Saturday night.Â

The Huskies pressured with 11 shots on the night and were able to prevail in a tough road environment with a 2-1 victory. It was the first road victory of the year for the Huskies!
In the first half the Huskies created a ton of chances to break through. Melina Couzis teed up a shot that missed just off to the right,
Sophia Danyko-Kulchykcy created an opportunity early in the first half but fired her shot off target.
Kess Elmore nearly grabbed a goal in the 56th minute but launched her shot wide.
UConn grabbed a gift in the first half on a misplay by the UMass Lowell goalkeeper that led to the first goal of the match.
The Husies have already matched their win total for 2018 with four on the season.
The Huskies play ECU on Thursday, Sept. 26 at 7 p.m. at Dillon Stadium.
