Calling All UConn Super Fans!

Calling all members of UConn Nation that are self-proclaimed die-hard, tried and true through thick and thin, bleed blue, real "Super Fans" of UConn Basketball. UConn Athletics is on a quest to dig into the vault to find old fans and recruit new fans that believe "Every. Game. Counts."
It doesn't matter who the opponent is. It doesn't matter what day of the week it is. It doesn't matter what time tip-off is. It doesn't matter what the weather is like outside. What matters is UConn student-athletes are going to be on the court playing for UConn Nation for 40 minutes every single game. We need fans that want to be there, support the team, support the coaches and represent UConn Nation.
If you are in fact a real Super Fan and meet the criteria, then you will be allowed FREE ADMISSION to select UConn men's and women's basketball games in the lower bowl. Men's basketball will host this promotion next Sunday, Jan. 12, when they tip off with Wichita State at noon at the XL Center. Women's basketball will activate this promotion when UConn hosts defending national champion Baylor, also at the XL Center Thursday, Jan. 9 at 7 p.m. More games and dates may be announced at a later time.Â

CRITERIA
- Face Paint – real fans forego the simple moisturizer and wear their fandom on their face. Let's call it a game face. The sky is the limit on design, get out the blue and white and go to town as they say.Â
- What You Will Need (not in any specific order):
- Face Paint
- Brushes
- Sponges
- Plastic Cup
- Washcloth
- MirrorÂ
- Glitter
- What You Will Need (not in any specific order):
- Dressed to the Huskies – we all know what "Dressed to the Nines Means" – take that and apply it to your gameday uniform. Throw it back, hone your sewing skills, visit thrift shops or buy new gear from our apparel partners to create your own Project Huskies for Gameday. Whatever your uniform is, make it unique, make it stand out and be visible.Â
- Bring It On – bring the energy, bring the excitement, STAND FOR THE WHOLE GAME.Â
- Be LOUD. Don't let a moment pass when you're not chanting, cheering, clapping, yelling, howling, it's up to you. But don't give up!Â
- Social Media – added bonus if you can show us how you promoted you are going to the game as UConn Nation SUPER FAN.Â
If you don't have what it takes to be a Super Fan, you will be escorted from your seats.Â
To receive free admission, Super Fans must go to the Box Office in the main atrium of the XL Center. Doors open 60 minutes prior to tipoff. If you are Super Fan approved, you will receive a ticket via any window at the Box Office. Tickets will be distributed to the first 200 Super Fans on a first-come, first-served while supplies last.
