Vivien Beil Signs Pro Deal in Italy

STORRS, Conn. - Senior midfielder Vivien Beil has signed a professional contract with Napoli Femminile of the Italian Serie B. Serie B is the second division of women's soccer in Italy and features 12 teams, with the top-two teams at season's end gaining promotion to Serie A.

Beil started 14 games for the Huskies in 2019 after missing the 2018 with a torn ACL. The University of Maine transfer appeared in 32 matches and scored seven goals while assisting on seven others during her two seasons at UConn. The Germany product received Second Team All-Conference and All-New England honors in 2017 after leading the Huskies in goals (6), assists (6) and points (18).
