Harris Drafted by Real Salt Lake in 2020 MLS SuperDraft.

STORRS, Conn. – Former UConn forward Dayonn Harris achieved a dream that many athletes aspire to accomplish – making it to the professional ranks. Thursday afternoon, the Milton, Ontario native was selected 20th overall by Real Salt Lake in the first round of the 2020 MLS SuperDraft.
"I just wanted to say thank you to the coaches and players at UConn that have helped me develop into the player I am today," said Harris. "I am excited for the next chapter of my career at RSL."
Harris garnered a selection to the 2019 American Athletic Conference All-Conference First Team after earning a nod to the second team a season ago. Harris finished second on the team with 13 points, including a team-high nine assists.
In 2018, he proved to be an elite threat out on the flank. The forward started in all 19 games he appeared in, ending the year second on the team in goals (5), assists (7) and points (17). Harris' stellar play during the year earned him nods to the American Athletic Conference All-Conference and United Soccer All-East Region Second Teams.
Harris had a stellar career as a member of the men's soccer team starting in all 39 matches he appeared in for UConn. He made his way over to Storrs in the fall of 2017 following a one-year stint at Penn State. Harris. He graduated from UConn this past December with a degree in Agriculture & Natural Resources, and ends his UConn career with seven goals and 16 assists.
