Sophie Hamilton Added to Great Britain International Team

Sophomore Sophie Hamilton has been added to Great Britain's FIH Pro League squad for their upcoming matches against No. 1 Netherlands (October 27 & 29) and Belgium (October 31 & November 1).
Hamilton was aย part ofย England U18 team that wonย bronze at the 2018 EuroHockey Youth Championships and thenย representedย England's U21s at last summer's EuroHockey Junior Championships.
The Bruton, England nativeย earnedย Third Team All-American status after aย ย great first season in Storrs. She securedย First Team All-Big East and NFHCAย Mideast All-Region accoladesย while starting all 23 games for the Huskies as a freshman. The midfielder ranked second on the team in goals (9), assists (14) and points (32) and highlighted her first season at UConn with a game-winning goal against No. 25 Fairfield in the NCAA First Round.
