STORRS, Conn. - UConn freshman Cassidy Bowes (Sturgeon County, Alberta) was named the Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week by Hockey East after this weekend's series with UMass.

UConn's Bowes earned the first two points of his NCAA career this weekend with a pair of assists in each game for the Huskies. Kale Howarth (Red Deer, Alta.) scored the lone goal in a 5-1 setback on Friday before netting the shootout-winning goal following an official 2-2 tie on Saturday.
