No. 3 Huskies Begin BIG EAST Play Tuesday at Seton Hall

STORRS, Conn. – The third-ranked UConn women's basketball team (1-0) returns to BIG EAST Conference play Tuesday at Seton Hall (2-1) at 6:30 p.m. The game will air on SNY and 97-9 ESPN.
The Huskies opened the season last Saturday with a 79-23 win over UMass Lowell. Freshman Paige Bueckers led UConn with 17 points, nine rebounds, five assists and five steals in her collegiate debut.
For her performance against UMass Lowell, Bueckers was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week.
UConn rejoined the BIG EAST on July 1, 2020. As members of the conference from 1982-2013, Connecticut won 19 regular season and 18 tournament league titles.
The Huskies are 51-10 all-time against Seton Hall, and UConn has won the last 31 matchups against the Pirates. Last season, Aubrey Griffin scored a career-high 25 points and added 12 rebounds in a 92-78 win over Seton Hall.
Seton Hall is coming off a 71-66 loss to Albany on Sunday. This season, Mya Jackson leads the Pirates with 19.0 points per game and Desiree Elmore leads the team with 8.0 rebounds per game.
