Watson, LaPrise Earn American Conference Weekly Honors

STORRS, Conn. – Junior Sydney Watson has been named the American Athletic Conference Midfielder of the Week and sophomore Lia LaPrise has been named to the conference weekly honor, following two stellar performances last week.
Watson receives the honor of Midfielder of the Week after a record-setting game against UMass Lowell and a big game against UNH. The junior tallied a record-tying eight goals in a game and recorded a record-breaking 14 draw controls in a game against the River Hawks. Watson added four more goals and an assist against UNH, totaling 12 goals, 14 points, and 21 draw controls over two games.
LaPrise earned a spot on the weekly honor with an outstanding offensive week. The sophomore tallied back to back hat tricks against UML and UNH and added seven assists between the two games, for a total 13 points. LaPrise leads the team with 22 points so far this season.
