No. 4 Huskies Travel to No. 1 South Carolina Monday

STORRS, Conn. - The No. 4 UConn women's basketball team (20-2, 10-0 American) faces a tough road test as the Huskies travel to No. 1 South Carolina (22-1, 10-0 SEC) Monday at 7 p.m. The game will air on ESPN2.
The Huskies are 7-6 all-time vs. the top-ranked team in the AP Poll. UConn is 4-4 against the No. 1 team on the road.

The Huskies are coming off a 94-55 win over Memphis last Friday. Junior Megan Walker had her eighth double-double of the season with 26 points and 11 rebounds. Freshman Anna Makurat started for the first time since November and had 11 assists as the team had 31 assists on 38 field goals.Â
The Huskies haven't dropped a conference game since joining the American Athletic Conference. UConn is 112-0 in regular-season play and 130-0 including tournament play.Â
UConn is 8-0 all-time vs. South Carolina. The Huskies have previously played a top-ranked Gamecocks squad as Connecticut beat No. 1 South Carolina on Feb. 9, 2015, in Storrs.
South Carolina is the final game in a stretch of tough opponents for UConn. Connecticut faced No. 6 Baylor, No. 23 Tennessee and the USA Women's National Team in January and No. 3 Oregon earlier this month.Â
