Chee Breaks School Record at ECAC Champs

BOSTON, Mass. – Sophomore Emma Chee broke the UConn pole vault record on day two of the ECAC Championships. Chee's height of 4.10 meters is a new personal best and earned her the first place finish in the event.
After day two of the ECAC Champs, UConn sits in second place with 26.75 points. Towson holds the top spot with 33 points while Albany and Northeastern are tied for third with 23 points heading into the final day of the meet.
On the track…
- Freshman Shauntae nelson qualified for the 200 meter final race with a personal best time of 24.41.
- Sophomore Ayoola Gbolade qualified for the 800 meter final race, also setting a personal best, with a time of 2:10.81.
- Senior Danielle Jordan qualified for 1 mile run final race with a personal best prelim time of 4:52.72.
- Sophomore Randi Burr finished 5th in the 5000 meter race with a personal best time of 17:00.70. Senior Erick Randazzo also raced in the 5000 meters, setting her own persona best time of 17:10.40, finishing 9th overall.
- The 4x400 meter relay team of sophomore Shanelle Colmon sophomore Dejanee Parms, Shauntae Nelson and senior Kristina Cherrington advanced to finals race tomorrow with a time of 3:48.05, finishing 5th overall.
- The 4x800 meter relay team of junior Solange Wright, junior Allie Alsup, freshman Elise O'Leary, junior Katelynn Romanchick advanced to finals race Sunday with a time of 9:03.95, finishing 5th overall.

- Emma Chee continues her stellar sophomore season as she took first in pole vault, set new school record and persona best height of 4.10 meters.
- Sophomore Mikyla Rodgers advanced to weight throw finals finishing 5th in the prelims with a throw of 18.54 meters.
- Junior Kelly Ward took second in pentathlon. Ward took first in the high jump and long jump events and finished with a personal best score of 3520 points.
