BOSTON - Competing in the world-renowned Head of the Charles Regatta along the banks of the Charles River Saturday afternoon, the UConn women's rowing team saw strong showings in the Women's Club Four event.
"It was a great day of racing in Boston," said head coach Jennifer Sanford. "Both boats raced hard and I'm proud of their performance as we continue to work on getting faster each week. We will be back in eights Monday as we prepare for the Head of the Schuylkill. Go Huskies!"
UConn's best finish of the day came with a 23rd-place showing in the Women's Club Four, while its second boat finished in 36th place.
With the result, UConn received an automatic entry for next year's regatta.

The Huskies will return to the water next week for the Head of The Schuykill next Saturday, Oct. 30.
