Huskies Open Spring Season in Florida

STORRS, Conn. - Ready to return to the water, the UConn women's rowing team will start its spring season in the Sunshine State will a pair of races over spring break.
The Huskies will start the week with a dual meet against Barry in Miami Beach on Sunday, March 13 before heading to Orlando to compete against UCF and Jacksonville on Friday, March 18.
UConn will be led by senior tri-captains Emilie Karovic, Aliyah Louis, and Maia Moscova. Karovic has been a four-year member of the team, while Louis and Karovic, who are both Connecticut natives, have three years of experience.
Jennifer Sanford, who is in her 25th season as head coach of the program, will look to build upon the momentum the Huskies gained in the fall. UConn competed in four highly-competitive regattas and will have seven races in preparation for the CAA Championship in May.
