Huskies to Celebrate Senior Day Sunday

STORRS, Conn. – The UConn women's soccer team (8-6-1, 4-3-1 BIG EAST) hosts No. 17 Xavier (15-1-1, 8-1-0) Sunday as the Huskies honor their senior class at 1 p.m. at Morrone Stadium.
UConn will honor seniors Rachel Marchini, Halle Palmedo, Kara Long, Isabelle Lynch, Kelsey Kohler and Duda Santin on Senior Day.
The Huskies will also celebrate High School Day, Goal Patrol Day and Jersey Day.
UConn is coming off its first tie of the season, a 1-1 decision vs. Providence last Thursday. Sophomore Jaydah Bedoya scored UConn's goal for her team-leading sixth of the season.
Sophomore Kaitlyn Mahoney made a career-high 14 saves vs. the Friars.
The Musketeers have won their last seven games, most recently a 2-1 decision over Butler on Thursday.
This season, Chloe Netzel leads Xavier with six goals and 14 points. Olivia Jenkins has started all 17 games in goal and holds a 0.52 goals-against average and .836 save percentage.
