Volleyball Returns to the Road at Xavier and Butler

STORRS, Conn. – Returning to the road to close out October, the UConn women's volleyball team will head to Xavier and Butler for a pair of matches in the Midewst.
Saturday's contest against the Musketeers will begin at 4 p.m. and Sunday's game vs. the Bulldogs will commence at 2 p.m.
UConn (15-7, 7-3 BIG EAST) is coming off a weekend split with Marquette and DePaul to close out a four-game homestand. The Huskies earned their first series sweep of the season, taking down DePaul 3-0 in their most recent outing Sunday.
Senior Caylee Parker was named to the BIG EAST weekly honor roll after averaging 3.43 kills per set, and was especially deadly from the outside with 14 kills on a .520 hitting percentage, her highest of the season, against the Blue Demons.
Senior Kennadie Jake-Turner also had a stellar weekend on the attack against DePaul, lining 12 kills on a .611 hitting percentage.
SCOUTING XAVIER
Xavier is coming off a trio of consecutive defeats to fall to 10-11 overall and an even 5-5 in BIG EAST action. Delaney Hogan ranks eighth in the conference in hitting percentage (.285) and leads the team in kills (169).
Saturday will be the first matchup between the two programs.
SCOUTING BUTLER
Butler is riding a three-game win streak and is right behind UConn, who is in third place, in the BIG EAST standings with a 6-4 conference clip to go with a 12-11 overall mark.
Sunday will also mark the first matchup between the two programs.
UP NEXT
The Huskies will start November at home next weekend against Georgetown (Nov. 5) and Villanova (Nov. 6).
