STORRS, Conn. – Excitement surrounds the UConn men's and women's basketball programs as the teams prepare to welcome fans back into Gampel Pavilion and the XL Center for the 2021-22 season.
UConn men's basketball fans have purchased the most XL Center season tickets (over 6,300) since the 2011-12 season while the men's Gampel season ticket figure is the highest since the 2015-16 season at 3,600.
Women's basketball season tickets are strong once again in both venues with over 3,900 purchased for Gampel games and nearly 5,000 purchased for XL Center contests. The number of women's basketball seats sold at Gampel is the highest total since the 2007-08 season.
In addition to enjoying priority for postseason games and parking, a benefit of becoming a UConn basketball season ticket holder is having the option to purchase additional single-game tickets before the general public.
As of October 29, season ticket holders have purchased 2,900 additional single-game tickets, including 447 tickets to the men's basketball game against Villanova on February 22 and 250 tickets to the women's basketball game against Tennessee on February 6.
The general public will have the ability to purchase single-game tickets for men's and women's basketball games tipping off in November and December, beginning on Tuesday, November 2 at 1 p.m. If fans are interested in securing the best remaining seats to contests in throughout the year, there is still time to become a UConn basketball season ticket holder!
