Huskies Open Season Against NU, CCSU

STORRS, Conn. – The UConn women's swimming and diving team opens the 2021-22 campaign with a two-day meet at the Wolff-Zackin Natatorium. The Huskies will take on Northeastern and Central Connecticut on Friday, October 8th at 5pm and Saturday, October 9th at 10am.
The Huskies have not faced Northeastern in the pool, making this weekend's meet the first meeting between the teams. UConn holds a 2-0 record against Central Connecticut, with wins coming in the 2017-18 season (188-101) and the 2018-19 season (164-82).
UConn opens the season with a string of home meets, starting with the two-day event against NU and CCSU. The Huskies will then take on Big East rivals Villanova on October 16th and Georgetown on October 23rd, both at the Wolff-Zackin Natatorium. Following the conference meets, the Huskies take on in-state rival Yale on November 5th at home before their first road test of the season.
