UConn Cracks the National Polls

USCHO.com Top-20 Poll | USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Top-15 Poll
STORRS, Conn. – For the first time in program history, the UConn men's hockey team is ranked in the national polls. The Huskies cracked the USCHO.com Top-20 poll at No. 20 and came in tied for No. 15 in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Top-15 ranking released on Monday, February 8.
UConn has won three-straight and are coming off a 4-1 win on the road at then No. 14 ranked Northeastern on Friday night. The Huskies have received votes in the previous three USCHO top-20 rankings and in the last two top-15 USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine polls released.
The Huskies are right back in action on Tuesday, Feb. 8 when they head to UMass Lowell for a 5 pm match-up. The game will be televised on NESN and will also be available on the UConn Sports Network from Learfield IMG College - ESPN 97-9 FM
About the USCHO.com Poll: The USCHO.com Poll consists of 50 voters, including 28 coaches from the Division I conferences and 22 beat writers and sports professionals from across the country. The poll, published weekly by the Associated Press, is a production of USCHO.com, which provides in-depth coverage of college hockey.
About the USA Today/USA Poll: The 26th annual USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Men's College Hockey Poll is conducted each week in conjunction with the American Hockey Coaches Association. The poll includes input from coaches and journalists representing each of the six NCAA Division I ice hockey conferences, as well as composite votes from officers of the AHCA and USA Hockey.
