Last Time Out…
UConn last competed on March 4, playing to a 0-0 double overtime draw with Seton Hall. UConn outshot the Pirates 6-3 in the opening frame, but found themselves on the wrong side of the same margin (6-3) as Seton Hall controlled the second half and overtime. Senior netminder Jahmali Waite picked up four saves in the tie.
Scouting the Opponent…
The Red Storm enter Wednesday's matchup after dropping a heartbreaker to Seton Hall. St. John's held a 2-0 lead through the first 55 minutes, but No. 22 Seton Hall rallied for the 3-2 overtime win. Wesley Leggett and Jared Juleau scored the St. John's goals off assists from Tani Oluwaseyi and Einar Lye, respectively. Leggett's goal was his third of the year, good enough for second on the squad, while Juleau found the back of the net for the second time this season.
