Pieper & Upton Gear Up for Tokyo Olympics

TOKYO - Former UConn field hockey stars Cecile Pieper and Roisin Upton are all ready to go as the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Summer Games kick off for field hockey on Saturday, July 24.
Upton will represent Ireland while Pieper plays for the German side.Â
Upton and the Irish squad open their Olympics on Saturday, July 24 at 8:15 a.m. ET against South Africa in Pool A. Pieper and Germany will open against Great Britain at 8:30 p.m. ET.

After pool play the top teams from each Group will advance to the Quartefinal Round. beginning on August 1.
