VBall Sweeps Seton Hall In Dominant Fashion, 3-0

STORRS, Conn. - The UConn volleyball team put together a dominant performance en route to a 3-0 victory against Seton Hall on Friday night at Gampel Pavilion.Â
The Huskies won 25-16 in both the first and second sets before a 25-11 third set to put the match away and earn the sweep.
McKayla Weunsch had a great night with 14 digs to compliment her 33 assists on the evening. Jasmine Davis led the way with 12 kills in the match.
The Huskies led wire-to-wire in the first set but the Pirates got off to a good start in the second set leading 6-3 and 8-6. However, UConn turned it on, going on a 9-3 run to create some distance. Then closed out the set with an 11-4 finish.
In the third set, the Huskies had three different 4-0 runs and also had a 5-0 run to create separation and close out the match.
Jake Kennadie-Turner led the team with four blocks on the night and added seven kills in the victory.Â
The Huskies look to carry momentum into tomorrow's match against St. John's beginning at 5Â p.m. at Gampel PavilionÂ
