BSB Hosts Alumni Game

STORRS, Conn. - On Sunday, the UConn baseball team hosted its annual Alumni Game with former players coming back to take on the 2021 fall Huskies.
The current Huskies defeated the alums, 8-0, with Reggie Crawford, Austin Peterson, Pat Gallagher, Cole Chudoba and Justin Willis all seeing time on the mound.Â
Erik Stock homered and had a pair of hits while Christian Fedko also recorded a multi-hit effort for the current Huskies.
Conor Moriarty (2020) led the alums with a pair of hits and a walk while Randy Polonia (2021) threw two scoreless innings.
Prior to the game, the Huskies honored their 2020 seniors that never had a true Senior Day due to Covid-19 canceling the season. Cole Brodnansky, Michael Chiovitti, Paul Gozzo, Anthony Nucerino and Moriarty were all honored with the latter four able to be there in person.
The UConn coaching staff also handed out their annual team awards. Kyler Fedko took home the Lawrence Panciera MVP award, Caleb Wurster earned both the Jame Allen Pitching award and the Dee Rowe Scholar honor. Chris Winkel and Erik Stock both earned the Mrs. Mary Dropo Unsung Hero award and Randy Polonia took home the Hirschorn award for overcoming adversity.Â

Poulin, Josh Santos, Chris Winkel, Caleb Wurster, Doug Elliot, Ciaran Devenney, Mick Buckmir, Jordan Tabakman, Jeff Kersten and Keith Wetjen.
