2021 Season: The Huskies backup catcher played in 21 games, missing a good chunk of the season because of a hamate bone injury. Collected seven hits including a a pair of doubles, four RBIs and five runs scored. Registered his first career hit in a two-hit performance at Southern Mississippi (2/27). 2-4 with a double at Coastal Carolina (3/8). Went 2-4 with an RBI and a run scored against Seton Hall (5/21).
A grad transfer from UMass Lowell.
Before UConn: AS A SENIORÂ (2020):
**Season shortened due to COVID-19** Made 13 starts in 15 appearances…hit .190 while slugging .333...recorded a season-high three hits at Elon (2.23)…hit home run at LSU (3.8)…71 putouts and four assists for a .952 fielding percentage.
AS A JUNIOR (2019): Appeared in 48 games, making 44 starts ... batted .287, led the team in on-base percentage (.446), slugging percentage (.566) and OPS (1.012) ... recorded 37 base knocks, including 20 extra-base hits ... paced lineup with seven home runs, tied among leaders with 11 doubles and two triples ... drove in 25, scored 29 runs ... two-time America East Player of the Week (4.23, 5.20) ... named to America East All-Conference First Team.
AS A SOPHOMORE (Mercer CC, 2018):Â Appeared in 51 games, batted .336 ... ranked fourth with 34 RBI and second with 45 runs ... tied for team lead with nine home runs ... fourth on team with seven doubles ... threw out 10 runners from behind the plate. During the 2018 summer, he was named an NECBL All-Star on the NECBL champion Valley Blue Sox.Â
AS A FRESHMAN (Delaware State, 2017): Started in all 46 games he appeared in ... batted .261 with nine doubles and four home runs ... led team with 33 RBI, .408 slugging percentage and nine HBP ... two-time MEAC Rookie of the Week. During the summer was named a Cal Ripken CBLeague All-Star. Ranked #8 prospect in the Cal Ripken CBLeague, according the Baseball America.
