2020 Season: Played in nine games, made two starts. Hit .100 with two runs scored and two RBIs. Drew a pair of walks and notched an RBI vs. No. 1 Vanderbilt (2/15). Grabbed a hit and RBI at New Orleans (3/1).Â
2019Â Season: Played in 44 games, started 26 for the Huskies. Hit .155 with two doubles, one triple and seven RBIs. Added three stolen bases. Went 1-3 with RBI in win vs. No. 4 Louisville. Drove in a pair of runs against UMass Lowell (4/3). Collected a pair of hits and scored two runs vs. Northeastern (4/10).
2018 Summer: Played in 22 games for the Mystic Schooners in the NECBL… Collected 10 hits, three doubles, one home run, two RBIs and 13 runs scored… Posted four multi-hit games… Went 5-13 with two doubles and one home run during a three-game stretch (June 15-20) before battling an injury the remainder of the summer.
2018 Season: Played in 57 games and started 42 at third base for the Huskies…Was stellar defensively at the hot corner…Hit .222 with 11 doubles, four homers, 19 RBIs, scored 22 runs and swiped six bags…Hit .287 in final 28 games of the season with nine doubles, two homers and was second on the team during that stretch with 15 RBIs…Hit first home run of the season on Opening Day at Kennesaw State (Feb. 16)…Notched a multi-hit performance and delivered a key double in extra innings to lift Huskies to win at Georgia Tech (Feb. 18)…Made a game-saving stop at third with bases loaded to preserve lead for UConn in rubber game at Southeastern Louisiana (Feb. 24)…Hit a game-tying two run homer at UNF (March 3)…Gave UConn the lead with a two-run double at Cincinnati (April 22)…Went 2-3 with a pair of doubles, three RBIs and three runs scored vs. Sacred Heart (May 8)…Notched a multi-hit performance including a two-run home run at Northeastern (May 9)…Third-straight two-hit effort vs. Houston (May 11)…Collected first three-hit performance of the season vs. No. 9 ECU (May 18)…Hit an RBI double vs. Washington (June 3) in NCAA Conway Regional.
2017 Summer: Played for the Pittsfield Suns in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League…Played in 34 games, hit .195 with 24 hits, 14 runs scored, four doubles, two triples, 13 RBIs and eight stolen bases…Hit first home run of the summer during the playoffs against Nashua (8/8)…Recorded seven multi-hit games.
2017 Season: Played in 45 games and started 37 during his freshman season…Moriarty was versatile for the Huskies playing second, third and the outfield for the Huskies…Hit .226 with 31 hits, 18 runs scored, nine doubles, two home runs, 21 RBIs and four stolen bases…Only committed two errors in the field…Registered six multi-hit games and seven multi-RBI games…Collected first career hit and multi-hit game on Opening Day vs. UMass Lowell (2/17)…Hit first career home run and tallied season-high three hits and three RBIs vs. UMass Lowell (2/18)…Go-ahead RBI double in the ninth to lift Huskies at UC Davis (3/10), recorded three hits, a pair of doubles and three RBIs…Recorded a two-run double at BYU (3/16) to aid the Huskies…Registered three hits and three RBIs to lead Huskies to win at Fairfield (3/29)…Came off the bench in the eighth inning and provided a two-run single to put the game away vs. Memphis (4/9)…Helped the Huskies come back to beat Houston (5/7) with a two-run homer in the seventh inning.
2016 Summer: Played with the Pittsfield Suns in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League. Held a slash line of .220/.316/.220 in 15 games, scored eight runs and recorded four RBI.
High School: Earned varsity letters all four years at West Springfield State under Coach Garret Kendziera...Three-time All-Western Massachusetts team member...Two-time captain of varsity team...Selected to Preseason Massachusetts All-State team his junior and senior years...Helped his team win the Massachusetts Division 1 Championship his senior season. Also lettered in soccer four years...Won a Division 1 State Championship his sophomore season, leading his team in goals and points.
