No. 12 FH Face Two Ranked ACC Foes

STORRS, Conn. - The No. 12 UConn field hockey team (2-2) faces a pair of ranked ACC opponents this season with a road match at No. 3 Boston College on Friday, September 10 at 5 p.m. and a 1 p.m. contest against No. 16ย Syracuse at the Sherman Family Sports Complex on Sunday, September 12.ย
Freshman Sophia Ugo leads the way for the Huskies on the offensive end with goals in back-to-back games last weekend against Rutgers and UMass Lowell. With her two tallies, the Bueno Aires native earned BIG EAST Freshman of the Week honors.
Cheyenne Sprecher continues to lead the Huskies in goal with a shutout performance on Sunday against the River Hawks.
Boston College is 4-0 on the season and were impressive last weekend, notching wins against Maryland (3-2) and Northwestern (2-1). UConn is 31-12-1 all-time against the Eagles and have won six-straight dating back to 2013.
Syracuse is 2-1 on the campaign and coming off a loss to Kent State. The Huskies are 29-13-1 all-time against the Orange and last played Syracuse in 2019 in Storrs.ย
