STORRS, Conn. – The UConn men's soccer team (5-6-2) is set to host the DePaul Blue Demons (4-4-6) Saturday night at Morrone Stadium. UConn will hold a ceremony for longtime head coach Ray Reid by naming the field at Morrone Stadium "Ray Reid Field". In Reid's 25 years at the helm, his teams won 13 BIG EAST conference titles, made 18 NCAA Tournament appearances, and brought UConn its third national championship in men's soccer in 2000.
The Huskies are coming off a win at Villanova Wednesday and have really found their groove as the end of the season rapidly approaches. The Huskies have gone unbeaten in their past three matches, a season high for Chris Gbandi's Huskies. They will look to keep their momentum going into their last four matches of the season.
DePaul is coming into Saturday's match having won their midweek matchup against Marquette. The Blue Demons lead the all-time series 3-2.
Kickoff is set for 7:00pm at Morrone Stadium. The ceremony for Reid will start at 6:40pm. Buy tickets HERE.
