Hartford, CT – UConn Women's Rowing opened a windy race day with a fifth-place finish for the V8, trailing leader Tufts University by a time just over ten seconds. Strong cross-head winds led to a course adjustment, shortening the race to 3200m.
The team only improved in the afternoon, landing a fourth-place finish behind UMass Crew, Holy Cross, and Trinity.
The team looks to capitalize on its experience for upcoming events, "…each boat took away some positives…it reinforces to the group how every stroke counts as tenths of seconds can impact final placing" said Coach Jen.
