Planning for Success
Dear UConn Football Fan:
With the most wins since 2015, Coach Jim Mora and our football team are making a strong statement this season. The Husky Revolution has stimulated a wave of enthusiasm about our football program and has reinvigorated UConn Nation.
With our most recent victory, we now have 6 wins and are bowl eligible. Because of our status as an independent football program, it will be important that we show our commitment and desire to support a bowl invitation.
We are reaching out to bowl game organizers in an effort to present UConn Nation's readiness to receive a bowl invitation should they be looking for a team.
Getting to a bowl requires a team effort, including our loyal fans! We must demonstrate that we will do what it takes to sell bowl tickets. We have shown in the past that we can do this, and I know we can do it again.
As part of our efforts, if we show bowl organizers that UConn fans have committed to buy a significant number of tickets, it will make our football team more attractive. Last week, we launched an effort to gauge interest in bowl tickets, and I want to thank the many dedicated Husky supporters who have made a commitment.
If you have not yet indicated your interest and want to support our efforts, here is what you need to do. Use this LINK to identify a number of bowl tickets you would be willing to buy (to use yourself and/or to donate), should we advance to a bowl. We are not asking for any payment right now. Just an indication of your support. If our Huskies get to a bowl, you will then receive instructions on how to go online and complete a purchase.
Your commitment, and that of other Husky fans, will make a powerful statement as we work to get to postseason play, not only this year but in the future as well.
We are grateful for your support of UConn football. Let's show our student-athletes the pride we have in their perseverance and determination this season. Let's show that we are standing beside them and will do all we can to get the team to postseason play. Thank you for making your commitment today.
