Huskies Set to Face Providence

Storrs, Conn. - The women's volleyball team is set to take on Providence in a Big East matchup in Rhode Island on Wednesday Nov. 16 at 7 PM.
UConn enters the matchup 15-12 overall and 9-7 in Big East play. The Huskies are looking to bounce back from a three-set loss against Marquette last Sunday. Even with the loss last match, the Huskies remain the fourth seed with the Big East tournament around the corner.
In the previous match, Madi Whitmire finished with an impressive stat line of 22 assists, a .429 hitting percentage, and 11 digs. Whitmire adds to her season assist total of 999. Also, guiding the way for the Huskies is Caylee Parker as she finished last match with nine kills, 10 digs, and 10 points. That makes her kill total on the season to be 307 kills.
Guiding the way for the Providence Friars are Emma Nelson and Brielle Mullally as Nelson is putting up 277 kills, 63 digs, 294 points and Mullally is posting 275 kills, 377 assists, and 285 digs on the season. Providence has an overall record of 12-16 and a conference record of 4-12. The last time UConn and Providence met; UConn won in three sets this season.
