Frantz Pierrot selected by Houston Dynamo in MLS SuperDraft

STORRS, Conn. – UConn men's soccer forward Frantz Pierrot was drafted by the Houston Dynamo in the 2023 MLS SuperDraft on Wednesday night. He was selected in the third round as the 63rd overall pick.
Pierrot led the team this season in goals (5), shots on goal (19), and points (12). The graduate transfer started in 13 of UConn's 16 matches. Pierrot becomes the 39th player in program history to be drafted in the MLS Draft. "I am happy and excited to have been picked by a great organization in the Houston Dynamo" said Pierrot. "I would like to thank Houston for believing in my abilities. There is a lot more work to be done, but I am excited for the opportunity, I can't wait to get started!"
Defender Jayden Reid also signed an MLS Homegrown Deal with the New York Red Bulls on Wednesday. The senior captain started in every game at left back for the Huskies this season. He finishes his UConn career with three goals, seven assists in 51 games played.
