No. 6 Huskies to Host Princeton Thursday

STORRS, Conn. – The sixth-ranked UConn women's basketball team (6-1) will look to get back on track against Princeton (5-2) on Thursday at 7 p.m. in Gampel Pavilion. The game will air on SNY and the UConn Sports Network from Learfield (97-9 ESPN).
Thursday is Throwback Night! The Huskies will wear their iconic throwback uniforms and throwback music will be played during the game.
UConn suffered its first loss of the season on Sunday, a 74-60 decision at No. 7 Notre Dame. Graduate student Lou Lopez Sénéchal led the Huskies with 21 points in the game while junior Aaliyah Edwards added 14. The Huskies were down 41-24 at halftime. UConn worked to bring the deficit within five in the third quarter but was unable to stop the Irish.
This is the first-ever meeting between the Huskies and Tigers. UConn is 19-9 all-time vs. Ivy League programs.
The Tigers are coached by Carla Berube, a 1997 graduate of UConn. Berube was a member of the women's basketball program, helping the Huskies to their first NCAA Championship in 1995.
Princeton is coming off a 71-54 win over Towson on Monday. This season, Kaitlyn Chen is leading Princeton with 14.1 points per game. Ellie Mitchell leads Princeton and ranks second nationally with 13.7 rebounds per game. Berube is in her fourth year at Princeton.
