Patricia Mroczkowski Wins BIG EAST Weekly Award

STORRS, Conn. - For the second-straight week, UConn junior Patricia Mroczkowski (Berlin, Conn.) was tabbed as the BIG EAST Women's Field Athlete of the Week.
Mroczkowski (Berlin, Conn.) repeats as top field athlete after setting an outdoor personal best in the high jump, clearing the bar at 1.77 meters at the 94th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays. The height currently lists 16th nationally and is tops in the BIG EAST.
On the men's side at the Texas Relays, senior Benjamin Grosse (Wayzata, Minn.) finished ninth in the decathlon in his first time competing in the event this season. He finished with 7158 total points and was fourth in the javelin (53.88m) and fourth in the 1500 meters (4:34.83). His opening performance has him first in the BIG EAST rankings and ninth nationally.
