47 Huskies Named All-BIG EAST

STORRS, Conn. - Following last weekend's 2022 BIG EAST Outdoor Track & Field Championship presented by JEEP, the league presented their All-BIG EAST awards, comprised of competitors who finished in the top three in any individual or relay event. UConn swept both team titles for the first time and also led with a total of 55 All-BIG EAST honors, including 26 on the men's side and 29 on the women's side. Â
In total, 22 student-athletes on the men's side earned all-conference accolades including four athletes who earned multiple event accolades. For the women, 25 student-athletes garnered All-BIG EAST honors including three women who were multiple honorees. Â
Men – 26 All-BIG EAST Nods – 22 Athletes – 18 Individual Events & 2 Relays
Huskies won 10 Gold Medals – Daniel Claxton (High Jump), Chris Keegan (Hammer), Richmond Kwaateng (Long Jump), Marc Morrison (Triple Jump), Travis Snyder (Pole Vault), Jordan Torney (Decathlon), Eric Van Der Els (1500m), Wellington Ventura (400m hurdles), Terrel Willams (110m hurdles), Colin Winkler (Javelin).
