ROCKVILLE, Md. - The No. 16 UConn baseball team rallied for five runs in the ninth to take a 13-12 lead but ultimately fell 14-13 in 10 innings to the Georgetown Hoyas on Friday night at Shirley Povich Field.

The Huskies trailed 12-8 entering the ninth inning but Erik Stock and Ben Huber recorded singles to start the rally. With one away, Matt Donlan, Korey Morton and T.C.Simmons all walked to plate a pair of runs.

After a foul out, true freshman Matt Garbowski delivered a pinch-hit, bases clearing double to give the Huskies the lead.

Unfortunately, Jake Hyde homered in the ninth to tie it and Nolan Matsko walked it off with an RBI double in the 10th.

The Huskies had a streak of 22 weekends without losing a series snapped with a loss on Friday. The last series loss came at Texas Tech back in March of 2021.

Casey Dana had a three-hit night including his 11th home run of the season. David Smith stayed hot at the plate with a three-hit effort.

The Huskies look to avoid on Saturday with first pitch at 12 p.m.
