Four-Game Road Swing Wraps Up Regular Season for No. 16 HookC

STORRS, Conn. - The No. 16 UConn baseball team (42-10, 16-2 BIG EAST) hits the road to wrap up the season with a midweek contest at Bryant on Tuesday, May 17 at 3 p.m. and then a three-game series at Georgetown beginning on Thursday, May 18 at 6 p.m.
The Huskies clinched their second-straight BIG EAST regular season title on Sunday with a 17-6 win against Xavier to secure a series win. UConn will be the one-seed in the BIG EAST Championship, a four-team, double-elimination format.Â
Even with the regular season title wrapped up, every game is critical for the Huskies with their RPI sitting at 43 entering the day on Monday.Â
UConn is second in the country with its 22 road victoriesÂ
The Huskies and Bulldogs play for the second time this season with UConn taking the first meeting 9-1 at Elliot Ballpark on March 23. Erik Stock recorded three hits while T.C. Simmons drove in three.
This will be the Huskies first trip to Conaty Park since 2019.Â
UConn closes BIG EAST play against the Hoyas with the Huskies playing at Shirley Povich Field for the first time since 2013.Â
The Hoyas have won a program record 29 games this season and are in the running for the BIG EAST conference tournament.Â
Last season, the Huskies won the first two games of the series against Georgetown before Covid wiped out the remainder of the series.Â
